Community Development Project (CDP) – TLM


As a part of their community Development Project, a group of 10 students from 11 Batch of TLM conducted a Cancer Detection health Camp for women at the MOH office of Kotavehera, Nikaveratiya on 06th April 2014.The Clinic was facilitated by the doctors of the National Cancer Early Detection Centre, Narahenpita, and was conducted with the support of the Kotavehera Hospital and MOH office.

Amal S. Kumarage - Endeavour Executive Fellowship


Prof. Amal S.Kumarage, Senior Professor of the Department of Transport & Logistics was selected by the Government of Australia for the 2014 Endeavour Executive Fellowship which provides for a four month period of stay in Australia to undertake study, research and professional development programmes at the University of Wollongong.

Sparkles - Talent Fiesta of TLM 11 Batch


Marking the completion of two years of learning English, the English Literary Association of 11 Batch held a talent festival showcasing their achievements to the staff and the fellow batch members. It was held on 24th March 2014 at the Department premises.

The 6th Department Industry Collaborative Board (DICB) Meeting was held on 05th March 2014 at the Auditorium of the Hector Kobbekaduwa Agrarian Research and Training Institute from 04.30 pm.

The Eighth Era: Welcoming 13 batch of TLM


A programme was organized by the 12 students to welcome the 8th Batch of Department of Transport and Logistics management on 05th March 2014 at the Department premises, with the participation of students and staff members.

New Appointment


Eng. Nishal Samarasekara has joined the department as a Senior Lecturer (on contract) from 22nd January 2014. He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Transport & Logistics, has a Bachelor of Science of Engineering Honours degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering of this university and a Master’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from North Carolina State University.
